Training tips in extreme heat (95+ degrees):
- Shorten sessions by 15 to 30 minutes
- Increase number of water breaks
- Increase the amount of time during each water break
- Modify sessions to be less physically demanding
Physical cues of heat exhaustion or *heat stroke include: dizziness, nausea, headache, fatigue, muscle cramping, clammy skin, *confusion/disorientation, *rapid breathing, *rapid heart beat, to name a few.
Should any player demonstrate the above signs, please remove her from training, get her out of the sun, have her drink water, wet her head and extremities to cool down, and rest. If her signs are more *serious, get her medical treatment immediately.
